Believe In Yourself And The Rest Will Follow
I am on a all time high from my first Sip and Mix Media Girls LA event I organized this past Friday! Like I still can’t believe the turn out I had and the great feedback I received.
I can honestly say I didn’t know how the turn out would be, I mean I only been in LA for a year and I only been pursuing media for two years. Every time I always tried to do a event or something, I though I always felt like I had to collaborate with other ppl for it to be a success or for people to support.
This was my first time every doing a event by myself without any collaborations and it was a total success. That just truly shows that if you believe in yourself wholeheartedly and have faith you can do whatever you want to do! I know it sounds cliche, but it’s so true. 2017 has been such a eventful year for me and I know 2018 will be just as good, yet even better.
On top of that I was able to get my event a write up on Rolling Out, Huffington Post and Sheen Magazine! Like God just been working so much, I don’t even have words that can describe it. I’m damn near in tears just typing this, because that’s just how happy I am! Someone told me we have to scare ourselves by our accomplishments and goals.
Also by doing this event I found out I have so many true supporters and people that are truly rooting for me! That feeling is everything! Then I start off the week to even more awesome news when Yandy Smith from LHHNY dmed me on IG to tell me I’m nominated for Best Red Carpet Correspondent! I couldn’t do nothing, but scream because I literally was discussing this the other day with my best friend about recognition. Like I see so many media women getting honored and recognized, I’m not hating or anything but I use to say when will someone notice me . Every time I use to see somebody else get recognized I always say okay you just have to work harder!
I don’t do it for the recognition, but I mean everybody wants to be shown appreciation for their work sometimes. Then boom God hits me with this, he is always on time and you never know who is watching.
